No matter where you get your grüv on, safety is our priority and we think it should be yours too! Be safe, smart, and considerate of your city and fellow residents.

HELMET USE

State and municipal legislation set the regulations on helmet requirements, so be sure to follow those rules! But let’s be honest — you should ALWAYS wear a helmet, regardless of the rules as that is the safe, smart and responsible choice.

WHERE TO RIDE

No riding on sidewalks unless local regulations permit it or require it — refer to our cities page for more specific local rules. Riding on sidewalks puts pedestrians in jeopardy, and sidewalks are for walking! Ride in bike lanes wherever available, or close to the curb or parked cars when not. Be mindful of parked cars opening their doors.

WHERE TO PARK

Parking requirements also vary city by city. If designated parking corrals are marked on the ground, please park there. When not available, park your scooter upright as close as possible to the curb so as not to block any public or private right of way. Things to keep in mind:

• Do not block sidewalk accessible ramps

• Park at least 10 feet away from street corners

• Do not block disabled parking spaces

• Do not park within 10 feet of bus stops

• Do not block fire hydrants
